Acupuncturists
Lois graduated from the College of Traditional Acupuncture in 1993 and went on to complete post-graduate studies in acupuncture in 1995. Tim graduated from the College of Traditional Acupuncture in 1995. The College is one of the longest established in the UK and was founded by Professor JR Worsley, who passed on his passion for Five Element acupuncture to his students. Lois then taught at the College from 1995 to 1999, leaving to join Tim Metford in focussing on creating The Acupuncture Clinic as an alternative health centre.
After graduating from the college, Tim and Lois realised that their education in acupuncture and treating patients was only just beginning. They have studied the treatment of back pain and muscular/skeletal problems using acupuncture and therapeutic massage, and use this treatment protocol extensively in their practice. More recently, they have studied CranioSacral Therapy and are starting to integrate it into their acupuncture treatments.
